The Martian Chronicles gets a special edition from The Broken Binding

The Broken Binding has unveiled a special hardback edition of Ray Bradbury’s The Martian Chronicles, featuring new cover art by Ricky Ho.

Founded in 2021, The Broken Binding is an independent UK bookseller specialising in science fiction and fantasy. Alongside its book subscriptions, it produces special editions that pair new artwork with distinctive bindings and finishes, revisiting established favourites as well as contemporary titles.

For The Martian Chronicles, Ricky Ho’s cover art is accompanied by illustrated endpapers, foil detailing on the boards and a digitally printed fore-edge. Block-sprayed top and bottom edges, plus head and tail bands, complete the royal hardback edition.

Bradbury’s interconnected stories follow humanity’s arrival on Mars, exploring the hopes, loneliness and prejudices carried from Earth. This edition gives that imagined world a new visual treatment, with artwork and design details extending from the jacket to the edges of the book.
