Gauntlet Press has published Pterodactyls: A Collection of Stories, a collection that offers readers a closer look at Ray Bradbury’s stories in their earliest published forms.
Edited by Elizabeth Nahum-Albright, the volume brings together versions taken from the tear sheets of their original publications. Some stories were subsequently revised for later collections; others were never published again. Read together, they offer a glimpse of a writer who continued to revisit and reshape his work.
The collection includes “The Small Assassin”, “The Wind”, “I, Rocket” and “The Wonderful Death of Dudley Stone”, alongside the title story, “The Pterodactyls”.
Both editions feature an introduction by Owen King. Gauntlet has produced an unsigned edition and a numbered edition limited to 100 copies, the latter signed by King and including previously signed Bradbury material.
Visit Gauntlet Press to explore the collection and check the availability of each edition.
